Rigas Potiropoulos
Studied architecture at Sir John Cass Faculty of Art, Architecture and Design, where he obtained his Bachelor in Arts degree. He received his MSc degree at ALBA Graduate Business School and NUCB Nagoya University Graduate Business School where he studied international business and management. Rigas gained his Master in Architecture degree, with Distinction, from Kingston University. He was also awarded the Jonathan Woolf Award – Best Portfolio Prize, AJ Student Prize, Kingston’s University Nomination. During his studies he worked periodically with Potiropoulos D+L Architects and after his graduation he was officially trained there as an intern. Following the completion of his studies, he is based in Athens and working as partner at Potiropoulos+Partners.
Rigas has travelled extensively from Europe and USA to India and Japan, believes in the diversity of cultures, and is passionate about the advances and benefits of globalization. His international experience also reflects upon his approach to architecture, by understanding and respecting the social and cultural needs of the local community he is designing for.
