The rigid development framework of the building based on the airport’s organizational plan and its specific functional program led to the formation of a dense, orthogonal prism. The design follows the given horizontal axis that naturally places the building into the strict context of the airport. A vertical metal grid is suspended in front of the main façade and in conjunction with the linear canopy of the entrance, references a continuous, aerial movement. Specialized areas, like the freight forwarder offices and the customs chemical laboratories, are organized in such a way that the composition is functionally and structurally obvious.
